Hello, fellow gamers!
This past spring, Studio Blue Jay had the opportunity to attend and booth at PAX East, based in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. PAX East is a major gaming convention on the East Coast where gamers and enthusiasts alike cultivate a space to showcase their games and work!

Between May 8th – May 11th, the studio connected with attendees who learned about the process of such creation, in which we got to highlight our current project in development: Ghost Jukebox! We had a splendid time meeting those who made it to PAX East, and we thank you for stopping by the Boston Indie Game Developers booth to learn more about us.
Local Indie Games at PAX East 2025!
Having the space to showcase alongside fellow local indie studios was a true honor, including the following:
- WinterCamp Games presenting The Midnight Exorcist
- SlimeWare presenting Unsent
- Fifty Birds in a Trench Coat presenting Sincerely, Robin
- WindUp Minds promoting Stay: Forever Home
To kick things off before the convention, we attended the Pre-PAX Demo Night hosted by Boston Indies where many people played Ghost Jukebox and grew intrigued by the concept. Thank you to Isabelle Colantuonio for setting up and running the game! Our studio was featured in various reels on social media, including Playcrafting, a New York City-based community that hosts game dev events and game jams! We are grateful to members of the industry, including a games marketing researcher, for taking the time to check out our game.

Additionally, our game, Ghost Jukebox, was presented at the Swiss Mixer where we met game developers from Switzerland! Thank you to Tim Glaus, the Swiss Game Developers Association, and the Greater Zurich Area for hosting the event at Swissnex in Boston and New York. We had the pleasant opportunity to be alongside the following Swiss games at this year’s mixer:
- Guillaume Mezino and Vincent Le Gaudu at Kipwak Studio, presenting Wizdom Academy
- Lisa Bach and Charisse Ann de Leon at Obleak Games, presenting In Full Bloom
Ghost Jukebox was also presented at the Made in MA Showcase; We express our gratitude to MassDiGI, WPI IMGD, and Gillian Smith for organizing this fantastic event. In addition, we’d like to thank Silicon Valley Bank – Boston, Christian Souza, and Denis Nagazaki for hosting! A special shoutout to Cy Nelson for helping to run and set up our game!

To add on, Studio Blue Jay had the great pleasure of enjoying Shane’s Relaxing Chats, known as a series of roundtable talks organized by Boston Game Dev, who organized the week of game developer events: Boston GameDev Week, surrounding PAX East in Boston! We had a chance to chat with fellow game developers about a multitude of insightful topics in relation to the industry.
One of our team members, Cameron Connolly, brought in the idea of having a team dinner on the Saturday evening of PAX East at Henrietta’s Table in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We had a fulfilling meal to celebrate the achievements of our hard work!
